A WEEK IN PROVENCE

Sharing our beloved itinerary from a week in Provence. We based out of a great Airbnb in L’isle Sur La Sorgue and went on little day trips around lunchtime. It couldn’t have been more perfect for a relaxing trip with the baby and my parents.

On SATURDAY, visit the market in Apt. This was by far our favorite as it was the largest and had the nicest assortment of vendors.
● Explore Place du Septier and shop at La Maison d’Ines and Odette and Le Temps d’un Eté
● Eat on the terrace at Chez Sylla or Restaurant Carnot
● On the way home, stop at beautiful hotel @coquillade_provence for a drink on the terrace.

SUNDAY hosts the famous antique market in L’Isle Sur La Sorgue.
● Skip the regular market to find the open antique shops and open air stalls.
● Reserve a long lunch afterwards at @levivierrestaurant (Michelin starred) or dine in the garden at Le Jardin de Quai.

On MONDAY, drive about 30 mins to have an amazing lunch with a view at @hotelcrillonlebrave and explore the grounds after.

On TUESDAY, there’s a smaller market in Gordes where you can enjoy a drink after at La Bastide de Gordes @airellesgordes

● Senaque Abbey is close by and is worth the tour inside (and also spectacular during lavender season).

On WEDNESDAY, visit the Saint-Remy-de-Provence market.
● Our favorite lunch was at Le Bistrot de Saint-Rémy. Still dreaming of the chocolate cake!
● Then stroll around the charming town and visit the Monastery of Saint-Paul de Mausole where Van Gogh lived.
● 20 min from Saint-Rémy is Les Baux-de-Provence where you can visit the historic château and see the stunning views of the Alpilles.
● Close by is also the art exhibition in the caves at @carrieresdeslumieres

On THURSDAY, you can visit the market in Rousillon and get some goodies from Maison Bremond.
● Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt has panoramic views of the Luberon Mountains and has a farmers’ market.
● Then take a beautiful 10-minute hike from the village up to the château.

FRIDAY hosts a market in Lourmarin and Bonnieux.
● After in Ménerbes, make a reservation on the terrace at Progrès and then walk the town.

● Stop at the tiny town of Oppède le Vieux on way home.

And just for good measure, here's a roundup of some of the best markets for every day.

●  Mondays - Fontvieille & Bedoin
●  Tuesdays - Gordes & Lacoste
●  Wednesdays - Saint-Remy-De-Provence
●  Thursdays - Roussillon, Goult & Aix en Provence (host many markets open most days)
●  Fridays - Lourmarin, Bonnieux & Moustiers
●  Saturdays - Apt, Arles & Avignon (flowers)
